Set amid the Loudun possessions of 17th-century France, Oliver Reed stars as Urbain Grandier, a charismatic libertine priest whose defiance of Cardinal Richelieu makes him a political target, while Vanessa Redgrave’s sexually repressed Sister Jeanne becomes dangerously obsessed with him.
